Having a form to fill in has advantages over just giving people emails:
- The contact form plugins generally keep a copy of the submission, so if you miss the email you can find out what you missed.
- It means you don’t have to expose your email on the site and risk it being picked up and misused by hackers.
- You can ask people to submit information in a more orderly manner, so that you always have the information you need. Email , name and message are vital but you can add fields to ask other questions (e.g. subject – so that you can direct the email to the correct person in your organisation).
You can protect the form from “bots” using reCaptcha.
